β οΈ Safety Precautions
- !Professional Installation Recommended β Only Volt recommends having a qualified electrician perform the installation.
- !No Reverse Polarity β Connecting B+ to B- or reversing cell sampling cables will permanently damage the BMS.
- !Anti-Static Handling β Handle the BMS board with care. Avoid touching components directly.
- !Waterproof Your Installation β Keep all connections dry. Use proper IP-rated enclosures outdoors.
- !No Series Connection β Multiple Only Volt battery packs should NEVER be connected in series.

π Wiring Guide
Wiring Sequence (Power On)
- 1Connect Bβ (battery negative) to the BMS Bβ terminal first
- 2Connect cell sampling cables in ascending order: B0 β B1 β B2 β ... β B16
- 3Connect NTC temperature sensor cables to their ports
- 4Connect B+ (battery positive) last
- 5Connect load (inverter) and charger to Pβ and P+ terminals
- 6Close the on/off switch to activate β charge or press button to initialize
Disconnection Sequence
- 1Disconnect charger and load first
- 2Remove cell sampling cables in descending order: B16 β B15 β ... β B0
- 3Remove Bβ last
π Inverter Connection
Only Volt batteries support communication with major inverter brands via RS485 or CAN protocols.
Compatible Inverters
- βDeye β RS485, SMA mode or PYLON protocol
- βSOFAR β RS485 or CAN communication
- βGrowatt β RS485 or CAN protocol
- βVoltronic / Axpert β RS485 communication
- βPYLON TECH compatible β Lithium battery protocol mode
RS485 Connection
Default baud rate: 9600bps. Connect from BMS communication board RS485-1 port to inverter BMS/battery port using the included RS485 patch cord.
CAN Connection
Default rate: 500K. Use the CAN port on the communication board. Configure your inverter to "Lithium Battery" or "BMS" mode and select the appropriate protocol.
π± BMS Meta App Setup
Download the App
- 1Search "BMS Meta" on Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS)
- 2Alternatively, scan the QR code on the BMS board label or visit www.anayatech.com
- 3Install and open the BMS Meta app on your smartphone
Connecting via Bluetooth
- 1Ensure the battery BMS is powered on (on/off switch closed)
- 2Open BMS Meta app β tap "Connect" β scan for devices
- 3Select your battery from the device list
- 4View live data: voltage, current, temperature, SOC, SOH, and protection status
What You Can Monitor
- πIndividual cell voltages, overall pack voltage, charge/discharge current
- π‘οΈCell temperatures, environment temperature, MOS temperature
- πSOC (State of Charge), SOH (State of Health), remaining capacity
- βοΈModify protection thresholds, toggle balance, adjust parameters (advanced)
β‘ First Activation & Capacity Learning
- 1After wiring, close the on/off switch to power on the BMS
- 2The BMS will show a low SOC initially β this is normal
- 3Discharge the battery fully until under-voltage protection triggers
- 4Charge the battery fully until over-voltage protection triggers
- 5The BMS will now have learned the true Full Charge Capacity (FCC)
- 6SOC readings will now be accurate for daily use
π Parallel Battery Setup (Multi-Pack)
Only Volt batteries support up to 20 packs in parallel using the automatic dial (Auto DIP) feature.
- 1Set all DIP switches to OFF position on all BMS units
- 2Connect RS485 network cables: Main β Pack 2 (Link Port OUT β Link Port IN), Pack 2 β Pack 3, etc.
- 3Power on all battery packs
- 4Turn OFF the main BMS on/off switch β all packs should shut off
- 5Turn ON the main BMS β all packs will start simultaneously
- 6Wait ~20 seconds for auto address assignment to complete
- 7Main BMS will display average SOC; slave packs show only RUN indicator
π οΈ Maintenance Tips
- βKeep battery terminals clean and tight β check every 6 months
- βEnsure adequate ventilation β operating temperature -20Β°C to +75Β°C
- βAvoid exposing batteries to direct sunlight or rain
- βMonitor cell balance via BMS Meta app regularly
- βPerform full charge-discharge cycle every 3 months for optimal calibration
- βStore at 50β60% SOC if not in use for extended periods
π Troubleshooting
No voltage output after installation
Check wiring sequence β ensure Bβ is connected first and on/off switch is closed. Activate by connecting a charger.
Battery won't charge
Check for over-temperature or overcharge protection. Verify charger voltage is correct for your pack (16 Γ 3.65V = 58.4V for 48V pack).
Low SOC reading on new battery
Perform a full capacity learning cycle: discharge to under-voltage, then charge to over-voltage.
Buzzer beeping
Fault: beeps every 1s. Protection: every 2s. Alarm: every 3s. Check BMS Meta app for specific fault code.
Active balance not working
Active balance is only configurable via PC software or color touch screen. Check balance settings in BMS Meta app.
Cannot connect to app
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and battery BMS is powered on. Try restarting both the app and the BMS (toggle on/off switch).
Parallel packs not auto-addressing
Check RS485 cable orientation (OUT to IN). Ensure all DIP switches are OFF. Repeat the on/off cycle as per parallel setup guide.
